source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Management
2-what is knowledge management
Knowledge Management (KM) comprises a range of strategies and practices used in an organization to identify, create, represent, distribute, and enable adoption of insights and experiences. Such insights and experiences comprise knowledge, either embodied in individuals or embedded in organizational processes or practice
source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knowledge_management
3-what is information systeme
An information system (IS) is any combination of information technology and people's activities using that technology to support operations, management, and decision-making.[1] In a very broad sense, the term information system is frequently used to refer to the interaction between people, algorithmic processes, data and technology. In this sense, the term is used to refer not only to the information and communication technology (ICT) an organization uses, but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes
source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_system
4-WHAT ARE THE COMPONENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
here are many roles for people in information systems. Common ones include
  • Systems Analyst
  • Programmer
  • Technician
  • Engineer
  • Network Manager
  • MIS (Manager of Information Systems)
  • Data entry operator
source: http://vceit.com/systems/components.htm
5-why do we need to apply the knowledge management process in our business?
▪ KM is about systems and technologies
▪ KM is about people and learning organisations
▪ KM is about processes, methods and techniques
▪ KM is about managing knowledge assets
▪ KM is a holistic initiative across the entire organisation
▪ KM is not a discipline, as such, and should be an integral part of every knowledge workers daily responsibilities
What is most important, is for you to have your own definition of Knowledge Management; what KM is to you and your organisation. What is even more important is that you and your colleagues have a 'common shared understanding' of what KM means for you all.
To help you get started, we have included immediately below a few definitions of what KM means to some organisations. We suggest you consider them, together with any other definitions you may have, and see if there are any words or phrases that particularly 'resonate' with what you are trying to do. This will help you formulate your own definition of knowledge management.
At the end of this page, we invite you to share with us all, any definitions you have discovered and/or formulated. We can then all comment and rate the usefulness of each definition as we wish. This then provides us, at the bottom of this page, with a list of KM Definitions, listed in highest rated/ranked order, to help us even further. So please share your definitions and/or any comments or rating to definitions.

reference sources question 2

The history of this important means of transportation starts in 1769 when the steam powered cars were invented. Several years later, more specifically in 1806 the cars that ran on fuel gas appeared on the market. In the 20th and 21st century the cars that were powered by electricity have been designed to be the next cars that we will all use at one point or another.
The first person that was interested in creating a car was the German engineer Karl Benz. He is seen as the inventor of the modern car as we know and use it today. However, the first steam powered car was actually designed back in China in 1672 but it was so small that it couldn't actually hold a passenger and a driver in it.
The early electric car was also too small to hold any human passengers and it was used by its owner as a means of study. The cars with internal combustion appeared on the market later on and one of the reasons why was the lack of suitable fuels. In the beginning these cars used a mixture of gases in order to function properly. The car industry had a very long developing process that hasn't stopped even today. The frenzy of owning a car reached everyone thus people started to invest in these important vehicles.
In our days some people have developed a passion for the old cars and have started to collect them. These vintage cars can actually be considered a part of the automobile history. They can be quite expensive but the passion of owning such a vintage car may overcome the price tag.
The cars have been one of the world's biggest inventions and has brought us many satisfactions. However, moving further into the 21st century we have to push forward the development of the cars so that they become more Eco-Friendly.
If you are interested in car leasing deals then you should take a look on our website and you will surely find what you are looking for.

what is an information literacy

Several conceptions and definitions of information literacy have become prevalent. For example, one conception defines information literacy in terms of a set of competencies that an informed citizen of an information society ought to possess to participate intelligently and actively in that society (from [5]).
The American Library Association's (ALA) Presidential Committee on Information Literacy, Final Report states, "To be information literate, a person must be able to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information" (1989).
Jeremy Shapiro & Shelley Hughes (1996) define information literacy as "A new liberal art that extends from knowing how to use computers and access information to critical reflection on the nature of information itself, its technical infrastructure and its social, cultural, and philosophical context and impact." (from [6])
Information literacy is becoming a more important part of K-12 education. It is also a vital part of university-level education (Association of College Research Libraries, 2007).
On May 28, 2009, U.S. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger posted an Executive Order establishing a California ICT Digital Literacy Leadership Council and an ICT Digital Advisory Committee. [7]
On October 1, 2009, U.S. President Barack Obama's designated October 2009 "National Information Literacy Awareness Month" [8]

why the library is important for the learning process

Libraries are important in that they contain valuable information that will last well into the future, if they are properly preserved. This information when passed from one person to another, from one generation to another, from one nation to another, can help to save lives, enhance the value of life, and make the future much better than the past. The wealth of knowledge contained in the average library can answer many questions and inspire people to lead better, more fulfilling lives. A look at the "Dark Ages" when there were no libraries to pass information to other people shows what happens when society is deprived of the knowledge of other educated humans and what they have learned in their lifetime

users of information

What are “Power Users of Information and Communication Technology”?

Power Users of Information Technology are natives of our digital society who break out of traditional learning confines, demographic and technological barriers. Constantly using, sharing, and changing information in creative, innovative, and unintended ways empowers them to become force multipliers in their own environments. Often, they are youth (aged approximately 7-17) who have had intensive, ongoing experiences with technology, usually beginning early in life. These individuals have internalized the logic of technology systems, resulting in a level of comfort with technology that allows them to bypass many traditional learning systems. They play, explore, and experiment with technology to deepen their skills, solve problems, and create

sources of information

Information source

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Source" means the origin of something. An information source is a source of information for somebody, i.e. anything that might inform a person about something or provide knowledge to somebody. Information sources may be observations, people, speeches, documents, pictures, organizations etc. They may be primary sourcessecondary sourcestertiary sources and so on.

good and poor information

There is a tremendous amount of useful, factual information available online. Unfortunately, it's also very easy to find incorrect or misleading information when searching online.
It can be quite difficult to determine whether the information you find on the internet is good or bad. Lots of incoherent information is posted every day by people simply looking to jump ahead in the search engine rankings.
Have you ever read through an entire article or website, only to realize that you have more questions than you did when you started? You've probably stumbled upon some poor information in your time using the internet. There are different kinds of incorrect information available online; read on to find a description of these different types.
Intentionally Misleading Information - If you've browsed Wikipedia for a fair amount of time you've probably came across a page that was locked. This happens often when celebrities are are involved in scandals or when they pass away. Some of the comments you may encounter are totally inaccurate, while others might be controversial and subject to argument on both sides of the issue.
Wikipedia's administrators lock pages when there are too many edits coming in that present false information. This is especially common for the pages of celebrities with poor reputations, which often have derogatory information posted on them. Visit the page of a controversial celebrity and look at the edit history; you'll almost definitely see some of these edits. This is one of the negatives that come with user contributed sites, and these things must be screened carefully when the open source frameworks permit such easy access by the general public.
Unintentionally False Information - Everywhere you look online, you'll find someone claiming to be an expert and sharing his or her secrets. While they may not be trying to intentionally mislead you, they're often not 100% correct.
Always question the claims of any self-proclaimed experts online. You can double-check the facts behind their statements to be sure that what they're saying is truthful. Most of these people are simply trying to make money, and even though they may not have any malicious intent, the end result still has you believing false information.
Despite all of this, don't be scared to find information online. There's still a huge amount of useful information that can be found on the internet; you just have to do a little extra research sometimes and try to stick to reputable sources. Stick with these sources and more likely than not, you won't be mislead.
