reference sources question 2

The history of this important means of transportation starts in 1769 when the steam powered cars were invented. Several years later, more specifically in 1806 the cars that ran on fuel gas appeared on the market. In the 20th and 21st century the cars that were powered by electricity have been designed to be the next cars that we will all use at one point or another.
The first person that was interested in creating a car was the German engineer Karl Benz. He is seen as the inventor of the modern car as we know and use it today. However, the first steam powered car was actually designed back in China in 1672 but it was so small that it couldn't actually hold a passenger and a driver in it.
The early electric car was also too small to hold any human passengers and it was used by its owner as a means of study. The cars with internal combustion appeared on the market later on and one of the reasons why was the lack of suitable fuels. In the beginning these cars used a mixture of gases in order to function properly. The car industry had a very long developing process that hasn't stopped even today. The frenzy of owning a car reached everyone thus people started to invest in these important vehicles.
In our days some people have developed a passion for the old cars and have started to collect them. These vintage cars can actually be considered a part of the automobile history. They can be quite expensive but the passion of owning such a vintage car may overcome the price tag.
The cars have been one of the world's biggest inventions and has brought us many satisfactions. However, moving further into the 21st century we have to push forward the development of the cars so that they become more Eco-Friendly.

what is an information literacy

Several conceptions and definitions of information literacy have become prevalent. For example, one conception defines information literacy in terms of a set of competencies that an informed citizen of an information society ought to possess to participate intelligently and actively in that society (from [5]).
The American Library Association's (ALA) Presidential Committee on Information Literacy, Final Report states, "To be information literate, a person must be able to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information" (1989).
Jeremy Shapiro & Shelley Hughes (1996) define information literacy as "A new liberal art that extends from knowing how to use computers and access information to critical reflection on the nature of information itself, its technical infrastructure and its social, cultural, and philosophical context and impact." (from [6])
Information literacy is becoming a more important part of K-12 education. It is also a vital part of university-level education (Association of College Research Libraries, 2007).
On May 28, 2009, U.S. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger posted an Executive Order establishing a California ICT Digital Literacy Leadership Council and an ICT Digital Advisory Committee. [7]
On October 1, 2009, U.S. President Barack Obama's designated October 2009 "National Information Literacy Awareness Month" [8]

why the library is important for the learning process

Libraries are important in that they contain valuable information that will last well into the future, if they are properly preserved. This information when passed from one person to another, from one generation to another, from one nation to another, can help to save lives, enhance the value of life, and make the future much better than the past. The wealth of knowledge contained in the average library can answer many questions and inspire people to lead better, more fulfilling lives. A look at the "Dark Ages" when there were no libraries to pass information to other people shows what happens when society is deprived of the knowledge of other educated humans and what they have learned in their lifetime
